Alright, so in our group we had Charlotte, Crystal, Ashlynn and myself, Loso. Keep in mind that we had a limited time to brain storm so we might've been missing a few facts, oh, and we didn't get a chance to discuss questions 4, 5 or 6. I guess we felt a little rushed.
QUESTION 1:
An exponential function and a linear function both grow in some way; either negatively or postively by some variable.
The difference between an exponential function and a linear function is that a linear function is a constant growth that forms a line, whereas an exponential function is affected by an exponent, creating a curve when graphed.
QUESTION 2:
The y-intercept would be 3 and the growth factor would be 4.
QUESTION 3:
Let f(x) = ax such that f(1) = 6
f(1)=61 which is the same as f(1)=6.
When using 1 as an exponent to the given problem, we know that whatever the end result is, that is what the variable a will be. [ i.e. Given f(x)=ax let x=1, such that f(1)=190, we can say that a is 190. ]
And that's all we got. Sorry Mr. K that we couldn't do more. We'll do better next time? Of course we will.

So far, I agree with what you have, because we have the same answers as you guys do... yay!!! Ohh, can someone teach me how to make those exponents? Is there a code for that? Because I couldn't figure it out. That's why I made ours on paint lol. One more thing, wasn't Charlotte in your group too? Other than that, good job guys =)
even though you didn't finish the entire thing, you guys did a good job with the questions you have done. like linger, i'm also wondering who you made those exponents. =) see you guys in class!
be happy!
LINDSAY I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! you put this in [sup]PUT EXPONENT HERE[/sup] and replace the [ ] with arrows <>.
thanks linger! that's so cool...
hahaha i get it. sup is for superscript!
thanks linger, i loved my surprise.
The group's answer is good. Even though you didnt finish all of them, you guys did a good job on the first 3 questions. No side comments on the answers.
Yes, we didn't get to finish, but we were definitely on the right track.
Yay, so we did do alright! =)
Yes, well we were on the right track. We answered almost all of the questions to the best of our ability. We communicated really well. Overall we were a good group. Except that my group doesn't even know my name :( It's Crystal not charlene. :)
You guys did the right thing. I'd rather have a post that's helpful and thorough, than one that's complete but lacking in depth. GRRR that sentence took a lot out of me.
That's ok if your group didn't quite finish because that was like my group! The answers you've provided were like the ones that we came up with too! Great job!
Jessica, im sorry i didn't got a chance to phone u. I was busy doing homework and studying for Physics. I forgot all about the lab. Dont worry next time i would hit my head to the wall so that i would remeber! Other than that, your awesome! Thanks for posting the lab and u did a terrific job!
Well, like everyone said it's not complete, but what IS complete was well explained and thought out, great stuff! I felt my group was rushing a little to finish it but we managed. I bet your group called you Charlene instead of Crystal because you're her sister, if I'm right? Good job guys!
Your answers agree with ours, so good job :) (Well that's assuming my group's answers are right..) and thanks very much linger, for the exponent information. I was wondering about that.
I agree with Charlene's group. Whops, I Crystal's group. The questions that they got to are correct and on top of that, they even left a few examples. Great job.
This group had one answer that was different for their number one. i agree with the answer and it looks correct. IF your group had a little more time, i think i could compare your answers with ours.
Ahh, sorry Crystal! I didn't mean to jonez out like that. I do know your name but I don't know where my mind was. I think it was 'cuz I saw Charlene walk down the hallway before I left school, and when I was glancing at the contributors list, my mind made some type of connection with her name. I did change it, so hopefully you don't think that I don't know your name. [Haha, I just realized I used a double negative].
lol you guys mistaked crystal for me.. haha.. and us sisters? :S where did you get that idea Danny lol.. well anyways even though my group didn't finish the lab and hasn't posted it up yet i think we sort of got the same answers. it seemed like you guys knew what you were talking about, you guys explained you answers well. Good Job.
Hi all,
I’m wondering how you feel about learning in this way? My sense is, from what you’ve done and your comments that this might be as good as it gets??!
Congratulations on setting such a good model for all to read –
Best,
Lani
